This #72 ‘Carrera white’ GT4 initially came to us for a roll bar, race seat and harness installation. Installation of the Cantrell Motorsports roll-bar was straight-forward, and much needed! Our client preferred the carbon-kevlar Recaro seat over the other choices. Reasons why? It is lightweight, highly durable, and well-fitting. Of course, a Recaro seat isn’t complete without a 6-point Schroth harness. We look forward to seeing the car soon for a Motec installation.
On February 27th, a special GT4 arrived for one of our clients. A GT4 Clubsport. She had ordered the Clubsport after she had driven one at our private test day at Thunderhill Raceway. She was instantly hooked to how fast the car was. Supposedly, this is the last GT4 Clubsport being offered by Porsche Motorsports North America. Once we took delivery, we went to work right away to prep it for CoTA.
A few months ago, our friend Lar brought in his newly acquired GT4 for a couple of modifications. We started the build with a complete strip down of the interior and suspension. All excess weight was discarded leaving only the bare essentials for the driver. All carpeting was removed, and the door panels were replaced with carbon fiber Clubsport replacements. A Clubsport wheel was installed for quick driver input. One of our favorite goodies in the car is the Motec with a custom bezel!
This beautiful, unmolested Cayman GTS came to us for its very first mod! Replacing the stock exhaust manifolds for the Cargraphic Stainless Steel Longtube Exhaust Manifolds with 200 Cell Cats. This option allows him to maintain the OE Porsche Sport Exhaust and exhaust switch while giving the car a more pronounced bark and increasing power and torque throughout the rev range. Here is a brief update on our GT4! Since the last post, we've added the following: Salzburg Livery, JRZ 3-Way Adjustable Dampers, Lightweight Flywheel, Clutch, Pressure Plate, Salter Aero Wing Uprights, Brembo Type 5 and Type 3 Rotors. We ran Cargraphic race exhaust for a short period of time but it was simply too loud for track days. Since then we replaced it with a 991 GT3 center muffler with custom piping + tips.
Laura originally brought her GT4 to us for Recaro seats, Schroth Racing harnesses, and BBi Autosports Roll Bar in a crinkle black finish. After a couple track days, she decided she would get our stage 1 suspension kit.
Here we have Rick's Sapphire Blue GT4 which he's only had for about three weeks now. He brought it to us wanting our Stage 1 Suspension kit upgrade, Cantrell Roll Bar, Schroth Racing 6pt harness and Forgeline GS1R in a Satin Gunmetal. Here are the finished results of this build.
